    We offer Homestay, Studio (Furnished with Kitchen and private bathroom), or share room.

    We support PayPal, major credit cards and pre-paid credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard as well as many debit cards that can be processed as credit

  • Do we provide Health Insurance?

    Medical care in the United States is extremely costly, so most people have health insurance to cover the high cost of health care. At CSHS, medical insurance is highly recommended for all F-1and M-1 students. If you would like more information, please speak to the ESL Coordinator.


Located in sunny Garden Grove, California (35 miles south of Los Angeles, 10 miles east of Huntington Beach), CSHS (California School of Health Sciences) is a multi-purpose learning institute offering a quality-oriented English as a Second Language (ESL) Program – California English Program (CEP) to its international students. CSHS was established in 1998 to address the needs of international nursing students and provide college placement and counseling.  Under the auspices of CSHS, the ESL program (CEP) is a fully-accredited ESL program open to all students seeking to improve their English skills in a fun and academically-oriented environment.  Dedicated to the needs and goals of each individual student—whether mastering Conversational English or preparing for a university entrance examination—CEP (California English Program) provides its students with numerous benefits which include the following:

  • Friendly class size—generally 15 students or less
  • Interactive and engaging classes reflecting a rigorous curriculum and the use of authentic language in a variety of contexts
  • A computer lab and state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with the latest software for English learning
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly-qualified faculty holding graduate degrees or higher
  • Intensive preparation for the IBT TOEFL, IELTS, and GRE examinations
  • Individualized study plan for students planning on pursuing a college degree in the United States
  • Academic counseling and assistance with the application process to community colleges and universities in the United States
  • Accommodation arrangements such as home-stay or room rentals
  • CSHS/CEP is authorized to issue the SEVIS I-20 Form to students intending to apply for student visa (F-1)
  • Monthly group activities and/or field trips
  • Qualified staff fluent in the following languages: Arabic, Vietnamese, Romanian, French, and Spanish
