Student Services

Health Insurance

All F-1 visa students must possess current health insurance during their stay at CSHS. The school does not take responsibility for expenses incurred through illnesses or accidents. Students are required to purchase health insurance and may receive more information during registration.

Housing and Transportation

CEP provides pre-trip planning and coordination through a variety of ways: by mail, phone, or email.  Most difficulties faced by international students can be anticipated and avoided. Our emphasis is on communication; proper planning, attention to detail, and making the students’ stay as pleasant as possible. CEP has direct responsibility for personally coordinating all arrangements and aspects of student life. Our supportive staff can assist students and families in obtaining hotel accommodations for short-term stays and housing information for those staying for extended stays. For students staying in a preferred hotel selected by CEP, transportation to and from the school can be arranged.

Educational Assistance

CEP’s faculty and support staff are devoted and dedicated in providing the finest services to their students. They offer educational assistance and counseling to students seeking to pursue higher education at the university level and beyond. With many of its instructors holding a graduate degree and more, CEP shares an abundant amount of information and experience with students seeking to reach their educational and vocational goals. Furthermore, our program offers individualized study plans for students, individual or group tutoring sessions, and in-depth academic assistance

American law requires that any school accepting international students be accredited. Accreditation is a sign of academic quality and standards. The California English Program at CSHS is accredited by ACCET (Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training).

Refund Policy

Program Cancellation: If the school cancels a program subsequent to a student’s enrollment, the institution will refund all monies paid by the student.

A notice of cancellation shall be in writing, and that a withdrawal may be effectuated by the student’s written notice or by the student’s conduct, including, but not necessarily limited to, a student’s lack of attendance.

The school will retain the registration fee plus a percentage of tuition and fees, which is based on the percentage of the clock hours attended, as the examples described in the table below. The institution will pay or credit refunds within 45 days of a student’s cancellation or withdrawal.
